School started!

Three days ago I had my first day in class. It feels like 3 weeks! It's been a very intensive couple of days of getting used to waking up at 7:30 every morning, and starting class at 8:10 (yes....8 !!). For a person that only gets going at around 11 o'clock, I can say it's been a struggle every morning to get up and go to class- and when I am in class to actually absorb what the teacher tells us.

Classes end around noon time, and by the time I finished lunch, I go back home to start studying the new Chinese characters on my own. It's a lot of just memorizing new characters and vocab. All of this seems really dry, but I am really enjoying studying Chinese (again) I can see myself improving every day, and every time I study Chinese characters it takes me less time to memorize them. Hopefully by the end of the term, I'll be able to have a semi-fluent business conversation in Chinese.
